"I want to give a skin problem solution to people."

Sunhee An, CEO of Lillycover,
who makes skin care solutions for people based on scientific methodologies.

Sunhee An, CEO of Lillycover, dreamed of becoming a journalist.
This is because she was attracted to the mdeia,
where she can meet people, find problems, and suggest solutions.
However, her dream of offering solution to the public went in
a slightly different direction. Providing customized solution
through accurate skin analysis to consumers who are familiar
with industrial cosmetics.
This was her new path.

Her dream was due to burn therapy patients she met from
2005 to 2016. They were patients she met while doing research
and development on medical devices at a local university.

She said, "The patients were losing confidence because of the
scar caused by the burns. We judged that internal problems such as
lack of confidence caused by unhealthy skin eventually make
the patient's condition bad." To solve the problem, she had to find
the cause. She recognized an industry ecosystem that lacked accurate
analysis of individual skin over the past 10 years.

She said, "The cause of the problem was the industry's practice
of viewing individuals as a group. Consumers here were using
mass-produced products without understanding on their skin."
Customized management based on thorough skin analysis, this is
how Lillycover was born. Her possibility has already been proven
first in Seoul. Investors have proposed relocating Lillycover's
headquaters to Seoul, where they can meet more people.
However, she wanted Lillycover to grow up in Daegu. This is because
she wanted to repay the help she received from Daegu City,
Daegu TP, and Digital Industry Promotion Agency,
which have helped Lillycover to survive.

Lillycover's efforts to repay the region have allowed Lillycover to
receive investments from Samsung and Silicon Valley in the U.S.
Recently, Lillycover is growing rapidly as a leading startup company
in Daegu, recognizing its potential in the international market.
Ms. An said "I am confident that Lillycover can become a global
company even though it started in Daegu. Through steady research
and development, we will grow into a leading company in the world."
